Admission Experience at Banasthali Vidyapith

The admission process at my deemed university is quite different from the typical engineering colleges that rely heavily on JEE Mains scores. My university conducts its entrance exam, and the admission criteria are based on a 50-50 weightage of 12th board exam scores and the performance in the university’s entrance test. Based on the combined score, the university issues offer letters to students with their respective ranks.

The counseling process is spread over a few days, with students being allotted slots based on their rank. For the computer science branch, which is the most sought-after, the university has also introduced a new specialization in Computer Science – Artificial Intelligence, increasing the number of available seats. The counseling involves filling out a detailed admission form, medical check-ups, and an interview where the student has to explain their interest in the chosen branch.

After the branch allocation, the process of fee submission, bond signing, and smart ID generation follows. The university also mandates the purchase of the college uniform (Kadhi wear) and communicates the hostel allotment date.

Overall, the admission process at my deemed university is comprehensive, with multiple evaluations before the final branch allocation, setting it apart from the more common JEE Mains-based admissions at other engineering colleges.

From the detailed admission form to the thorough medical check-ups and interviews, every aspect of our admission process is geared towards ensuring that students are not only academically prepared but also mentally and physically ready to embark on their educational journey with us.
