Yamaha Motors Solution India Pvt. Ltd. Interview Experience For Graduate Engineer Trainee (On-Campus)
Bond:- 2 Years (6 months internship + 1.5 year Full time )

There was 1 test and 3 interviews during the recruitment process. The recruitment process took 1 week to complete and the final results were announced next week.
There was a pre-placement talk organized before the test. Some important points in the talk were:
- All candidates need to go through 6 months of Japanese language training along with technical training.
- The offices are in Greater Noida and Faridabad. The company will give joining according to company requirements.
- A passport is mandatory to join the company.
- HR round will be taken before the Technical round to test communication skills.
Round 1 (Online MCQ Test):
- The test had 70 questions for 80 minutes and was divided into 2 sections (Aptitude + technical).
- The aptitude section had quantitative and verbal reasoning questions.
- The technical section had questions from CS fundamentals(OS, CN, DBMS and DS).
- The technical section also consisted of questions about C++ and Core JAVA.
- Questions involving the evaluation of code pieces and the selection of the correct output were included. Prepare Object Oriented programming principles very well for this.
- The level of questions was easy to medium and had no negative marking.
46 students were shortlisted for the next round.
Round 2 (HR Interview):
A 20-minute offline face-to-face interview. It was held at our college.
- Introduce yourself- A basic introduction about yourself, your interests, strengths, weaknesses, past internships, and work experience.
- Project Discussion- You should be well-versed with the projects mentioned in your resume. Some students were asked a few basic technical questions from projects as well.
- Puzzles- Gfg puzzles will be sufficient for answering these.
- Hobbies
27 students were shortlisted for the next round.
Round 3 (Technical Interview):
- This round generally lasted for an hour and the focus was completely on Core CS fundamentals and Problem Solving.
- It was also an offline face-to-face interview. It was held at our college as well.
- It began with my introduction and the language I prefer the most for using data structures. I answered C++.
- Questions based on Object Oriented Programming Principles were asked:
- Pillars of inheritance
- Explain abstraction and overriding.
- Pure Virtual functions
- Abstract Classes
- Syntax of Virtual functions and abstract classes were asked. I was also asked to write a code for creating an abstract class on paper.
- Do not use any complex term that you don’t know well. The next question will be certainly related to that.
- 4 easy to medium-level DSA questions were asked. 2 were based on arrays,1 was based on reversing doubly linked and one was based on binary tree.
- All the DSA questions were answered by writing code on Paper and then explaining the approach. I started by explaining the brute force approach and then explained the optimized approach for it. I wrote code for an optimized approach after explaining. The interviewer asked to dry-run the code as well.
- Dynamic memory and static memory differences were asked.
- Questions about binary tree implementation were asked.
- Questions related to tech stacks I mentioned in my resume were also asked.
- Questions related to SQL were asked.
- No Operating System and Computer Networks questions were asked of me.
- The interviewers were very polite, and friendly and made the candidate feel very comfortable.
7 students were shortlisted for the next round.
Round 4(CTO Round):
It was an online interview held in our college.
Non-technical questions were asked. The main goal was to assess a person’s body language, communication skills and goals in life.

- What was your JEE rank? Where do you think you lacked?
- Asked regarding my involvement in extracurricular activities and community memberships.
- Situation-based questions
4 students were given the Job Offer.
