Walmart Interview Experience for SDE
I got this opportunity through a hiring challenge on Unstop. There were 2 assessment rounds in this challenge –
The first assessment consisted of MCQs on Data structures and CS Fundamentals. And the second assessment had 2 coding questions – one easy and another hard.
I was able to clear the first round quite easily and completely solved 1st question in the second round, 2nd problem I solved partially. Based on my performance, I got selected for online technical interviews, that took place online.
There were 3 rounds in total:
1st Round
It was the first technical round and started with questions on CS fundamentals and Oops concepts. Lastly, I was asked a string question, that was of easy level.
2nd Round
It was the lengthiest of rounds – more than 90 minutes.
I was asked many problems on DSA, some of which were Linear data structures like linked lists, and a Binary Trees question. I was asked some OOPs concept questions as well. For Walmart, Binary Search Trees are the most asked topic. So do cover it well.
In total, 4 coding questions were asked in this round out of which I did 3 questions completely and 1 partially. Some of the questions are Linked List Cycle, Odd Even using Java Threads, etc.
3rd Round
My Last round was with the Director of the team that I was about to join. I thought it would be a normal managerial round but was asked a coding question too. Other questions related to role discussion.
