TCS NQT interview Experience

The TCS NQT (National Qualifier Test) 2024 consisted of multiple sections:

  1. Aptitude Test Difficulty Level: Medium Number of Questions: 24 Topics Covered:
    • Speed and Distance
    • Age Problems
    • Puzzles
    • Syllogisms Preparation Tips: Focus on practicing a variety of problems in these topics to improve both accuracy and speed.
  2. Verbal Ability Test Difficulty Level: Medium Number of Questions: 24 Topics Covered:
    • Grammar Correction
    • Reading Comprehension (stanza, paragraph-based questions) Preparation Tips: Work on basic grammar rules and practice reading comprehension to quickly understand and answer questions accurately.
  3. High-Level Aptitude and Technical Questions Difficulty Level: High Number of Questions: 15 Performance: Solved 7 out of 15 questions Preparation Tips: Focus on advanced quantitative and logical reasoning problems. Practice technical questions related to your field of study.
  4. Coding Test Number of Questions: 3 Performance: Solved all 3 questions Questions Description:
    • Question 1: Given an array without a specified size. Task: Take the array as input and sort it in descending order. Common Issue: Many students struggled with taking array input due to the unspecified size. Solution: Learn to handle dynamic input in your chosen programming language.
    • Question 2: Array-related problem involving finding the pivot element using a function. Common Issue: Difficulty in taking array input. Solution: Practice function-based problem-solving and handling array inputs.
    • Question 3: String problem involving finding the longest palindromic substring. Solution: Familiarize yourself with algorithms for string manipulation and palindrome detection.

After that, they will conduct interviews based on the test results. This process is ongoing, and the results will be announced soon.
