SymPy | Permutation.is_even() in Python
Permutation.is_even() : is_even() is a sympy Python library function that checks whether the permutation is even.
Syntax : sympy.combinatorics.permutations.Permutation.is_even()
Return : true – if the permutation is even; otherwise false
Code #1 : is_even() Example
# Python code explaining # SymPy.Permutation.is_even() # importing SymPy libraries from sympy.combinatorics.partitions import Partition from sympy.combinatorics.permutations import Permutation # Using from sympy.combinatorics.permutations.Permutation.is_even() method # creating Permutation a = Permutation([[ 2 , 0 ], [ 3 , 1 ]]) b = Permutation([ 1 , 3 , 5 , 4 , 2 , 0 ]) print ( "Permutation a - is_even form : " , a.is_even) print ( "Permutation b - is_even form : " , b.is_even) |
Output :
Permutation a – is_even form : True
Permutation b – is_even form : False
Code #2 : is_even() Example – 2D Permutation
# Python code explaining # SymPy.Permutation.is_even() # importing SymPy libraries from sympy.combinatorics.partitions import Partition from sympy.combinatorics.permutations import Permutation # Using from sympy.combinatorics.permutations.Permutation.is_even() method # creating Permutation a = Permutation([[ 2 , 4 , 0 ], [ 3 , 1 , 2 ], [ 1 , 5 , 6 ]]) print ( "Permutation a - is_even form : " , a.is_even) |
Output :
Permutation a – is_even form : True
