Stellen Infotech Interview Experience For Content Writer

Stellen Infotech is a Mohali-based IT services company. My interview was primarily in the content writing (digital marketing department). It was for a permanent work-from-office profile, full-time Monday to Friday job from 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. So, I am gonna tell you about how the interview and the overall process went. Let’s start!

A relative of mine told me about this opportunity as he was familiar that I wanted to get started with an opportunity in content writing. So, from him, I got the HR email from them and he asked me to send an application email with my resume.

In the first step, I created an appealing job application email, and I also attached my resume with it. Along with my resume, I attached my content samples along with it. I got a reply within 2-3 days saying that I was selected for the next round which was a face-to-face interview. For that, they asked to visit the company. I requested an online interview, but they denied it. So, I planned a trip to Mohali to complete my next round.

Second Step:

I went to the organization for the second round. I reached there well before time. First met with HR. Then she made me wait for some time and then the team lead of content writing came to take my interview. She asked me about basic things like what is SEO, what is Google Advertisements. As I have mentioned about my live blog in the email, she asked me about the blog.

There were around 7-8 questions. All were basics of content writing digital marketing and SEO. But I answered around 50% of them and 50% of them I was not confident about. So, the interview was not so amazing from my side. But yet it was good to go with. After the completion of the second round, I was asked to wait for another 20 minutes.

I got selected! I was not 100% sure about it, but as I said earlier, it was 50-50. So I was very happy to be selected. Afterwards, they told me about their offer, how much they were paying me, and other details about the office formalities, joining date, etc. I was offered a starting salary of 12.5k per month. I considered it a good start and accepted the opportunity.

My Learnings and Tips To Get Similar Position in a Similar Organization:

If you also want to secure a similar position in a similar organization, here are some quick tips.

• Build your portfolio well – As I told you, I was already maintaining a blog that has 10 to 12 blogs already written from my side. So it showed them that I am dedicated to that work. That was a great advantage.
• Reach on Time – See, all companies want disciplined employees. Eventually, they will train you and make you skilled. But things like discipline and dedication, that has to be already present in you. If you arrive in time for the interview, your chances are higher.
• Be honest in the interview – Don’t try to trick the interviewer. Just answer the questions honestly and make positive affirmations like don’t say that I don’t know. Say that I’m not able to remember it for now or I have read about it, etc.
• Stay Confident- If you become nervous, then you will get rejected. But if you stay positive, there are always chances of you getting hired.
• Prepare the Basics- Please read about some interview questions for freshers from YouTube. They only want to check the basics at an initial stage. Plus, they check how well you answer a question, and not what you say in the answer.
