SAS R&D Interview Experience
Introduction:
SAS R&D conducted an on-campus recruitment drive for various roles in Pune, featuring a multi-stage selection process.
First Round (Shortlisting):
- Criteria: Possibly based on 10th Marks, 12th Marks, or Diploma Percentage.
- Shortlisted: Around 70-80 candidates.
Second Round (MCQ Test):
- Mode: Online.
- Format: Aptitude, English, Puzzles, and Questions on Graphs and Diagrams.
- Duration: 60 minutes.
- Shortlisted: 20-30 candidates.
Third Round (Technical Interview):
- Mode: Online.
- Interviewer: Associate/Senior Associate Developer.
- Format:
- Introduction, Internship Experience, and Details.
- Topics: OOP principles, Cloud Computing, JavaScript, React, etc.
- DSA Question: Medium difficulty level (prepare for DP as it was asked).
- Puzzle: Refer to GFG Puzzles.
- Shortlisted: 13-15 candidates.
Fourth Round (Managerial Interview):
- Mode: Offline.
- Interviewer: Senior Manager.
- Format:
- Introduction, Project Details, Internship Experience.
- Questions: Focus on teamwork and scenario-based questions.
- Personal Performance: Questions about differences in 10th and 12th marks (e.g., I scored 95 in 10th and 91 in 12th and still faced this question).
- Aptitude and previous round review.
- Shortlisted: 7 candidates (some candidates were not fit for the team they were interviewed for, so they were given another chance of a Managerial Interview). After final result 6 candidates went for HR Round.
Fifth Round (HR Round):
- Mode: Online.
- Questions:
- Favourite subjects.
- Challenges faced.
- Team project experiences.
- Situational questions.
- Time management.
- Hobbies.
- Note: This round was perceived as a formality by many candidates from different colleges.
- Final Selection: All 6 candidates were selected.
Tips:
- You may skip OS, but ensure you have basic conceptual knowledge.
- Focus on development technologies.
- Prepare for DSA questions during the interview.
