My journey from first year to final year

When I entered the Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology, Kanpur in the year 2020, I was a fresh-faced, bushy-tailed 18-year-old full of curiosity and passion towards learning. As I was a student on the state board, I was introverted.so I faced many challenges I didn’t know about coding and computers at all. That time of COVID when the classes were virtually mode. and the semester was only three months I was from a Hindi medium board and topper of my class and coaching. but as nobody predicts the future. In my first semester, I had two setbacks. Because of that, I changed the person who failed that’s not me and I didn’t accept that. I cried I gave up, I was depressed about how I had failed.is this me or not? my family also Disappointed me. And then I accept myself as a failure. And the search year passed on virtually. I was too honest for society and my batchmates, they always tried to fool me or laughed at me. I was so kind of innocent I didn’t even realize anything. I came in the second year as I was a day scholar so my college so far took 4 hours to travel. And it’s hard for me and I suffering from typhoid and many more depressing incidents.

The journey did not stop. I was always afraid of judgment from others, which inspired the wish I had gone to a convent school, many times I started blaming myself for everything, and my college fees amount also too much for my family. When placement started I was blocked because of my back everyone was giving company test interviews and I was attending classes. And that made me so weak and depressed how can I overcome all of this? I just want to run away. But after my results came I was free from backlogs and participated in the company’s drive. Unfortunately, I have been unplaced till now as my semester will be ended in June. Today I’m confident and accept myself as I am but it’s too late no hope can give me that time that gives me time to prepare many things that I dreamt of when I entered college i learned many things in college and realized self-confidence and hard work only with you always. I only need an opportunity that gives me and my family placement. Just hope to get an offer letter. and you will learn many lessons in life but you have to have faith in yourself always.

Environment

PSIT is an extensive campus facilitating land that has greening, fine architectural design and sophisticated infrastructural provisions. This educational facility has the privilege to accommodate more than 10 thousand students, which makes it as exciting and diverse as it is possible. Education is defined as quite scholarly with more emphasis being placed on theoretic and pragmatic education. A good number of the faculty are friendly, polite, and helpful, always willing to assist with any problems students may have. They also have numerous infrastructures of sports, cultural activities, and student organizations that enable students to access co-curricular bases.

College Fests and Hackathons

When I was in my first year, that was the COVID era, and there was no such fest, but in my third year, IGNITIA was held. Harshit Saxena came, and I enjoyed and saw the first concert of my life. and then there were many fests and Hackathons that started with the end of COVID in my final year there was the Ignitia Fest of two days on the first day Kailash Kher came and on the second day the Lagori band came and these nights’ concerts were unforgettable.

About the Placements

Some of the premier Institutes known for good placements have I+PSIT on top which has companies coming for campus recruitment every year. It follows a methodical and elaborate placement procedure that includes pre-screening tests followed by several interview sessions in groups, and aptitude tests. Overall the placement process proved advantageous to me since I was able to learn more about interviews, how to go about them and more importantly make new contacts that could help me in other avenues.
