Power BI – How to Create Workspace?
Workspace is a folder, where all your workbooks, datasets, reports, and dashboards are stored. One can create a workspace, in Power BI online service. In this article, we will learn how to create a workspace in Power BI online service.
How to Create a Workspace in Power BI
By default, Power BI online service provides a default workspace name My Workspace. But, we can create new workspaces, and it’s a very simple process. For example, you want to create a workspace name, Beginner in your Power BI online service.
The following are the steps:
Step 1: Open your Power BI online service. On the left side of the page, there is a navigation bar. Click on the second last icon, i.e. our Workspace.
Step 2: All the workspaces created by you, will be shown here. By default, a workspace name My Workspace is present in the Power BI online service. Click on the + New workspace, to create a new workspace.
Step 3: On the right side of the screen, a new window name, Create a workspace will be opened.
Step 4: Add the Workspace name and a Description to your newly created, workspace. For example, Beginner. Click on the Save button.
Step 5: A new workspace name, Beginner is created.
Step 6: You, can view, a new workspace name Beginner is added in the list.
