Power BI – Add alternative Row Colors to the Table

In Microsoft Power Bi, “Alternate Row Color” is substantially used in a table to display their data more accurately. utmost of the association needs to present their data professionally. Applying alternate and unique colors to the data makes the waste more perfect, making the data view in various formats. It is a very common method to add colors to the alternate rows of the sheets to make it easier to interpret. During a spreadsheet, if you’ll find several rows to be colored, and you’ve got to do it one by one, it’ll soon be time-consuming and tiring as well. Coloring every other row will be one of the greatest methods to increase readability.

Creating a Simple Table

Import the table from Your Excel to Power BI.

Step 1: Click on Home Tab.

 

Step 2: Click on Get Data.

 

Step 3: Click on Excel Workbook.

 

Step 4: Select the file to be loaded.

 

Step 5: Select the sheet and Load.

 

Steps to Add alternative Row Colors to Table

Follow the below given steps in order to create a table:

Step 1: Visualizations -> Build Visuals.

 

Step 2: Table -> Resize if Needed.

 

Step 3: After selecting the table visual we can populate it using the desired features.

Click on Fields -> Click the Checkbox of the column to be added to the table.

 

Step 4: To add alternate colors to the table,

Visualizations -> Format your visual.

 

Step 5: Click on Values.

 

Step 6: Click on Alternate Text Color.

 

Benefits of Using Alternate Row Colors

  • To improve the readability of the sheet, some users shade every other row during a huge sheet.
  • Colors can enable us to see our information adequately by empowering us to perceive gatherings of related data by sight.
  • This theory makes the difference when we use the color in your spreadsheet.
  • Adding shading to alternate rows or columns (which is named shading banding) can make the information in our worksheet less demanding to examine.
  • If any rows are inserted or deleted from the row shading, it automatically adjusts to take care of our table’s pattern.
