Newgen Software Interview Experience for Software Engineer
During my college placement, I was interviewed by Newgen Software. All four rounds of the interview were conducted on the same day.
Round 1: Psychological Assessment Round: It was a pen-and-paper round based on psychological scenarios. It contains 150 objective questions which have to be completed in 1 hour.
Round 2: Online Assessment: Those who have cleared Round 1 have to go with an online assessment. Assessment Consists of multiple-choice questions from:
- Arithmetical & Logical Reasoning
- SQL
- Programming (Java)
Round 3: Face-to-Face Interview: Those who have cleared Round 2 had a 1:1 interview with the interviewer. The interviewer was nice. The interview starts with an introduction & revolves around:
- Questions from Resume.
- Java
- Database Basics
- Few small coding questions.
Round 4: HR Round: The HR round was the final Round. It starts with introductions & HR explaining the Role for which we were being hired followed up by some basic questions like strengths, weaknesses, why you want to join Newgen, etc.
- The main focus was to check communication skills.
- All 4 rounds were elimination rounds.
- The list of shortlisted candidates was declared after 2 weeks of interviews.
- The overall interview experience was awesome.
