My Journey As A Web developer

Hello Beginner,

I am pursuing a B.TECH in Computer Engineering at Marwadi University Rajkot, Gujarat. Today I want to share something about my web developer journey. So let’s begin.

When I joined college I was not aware of what is web development and how to do it. in my second year, third semester there was a subject called web technology. In which I learnt HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap and XML. These are the basic components for the front end. But actually, React or Angular is used for Frontend(That I learnt later on). I started doing projects but did not do many. Which was my biggest mistake. Computer engineering is all about practical knowledge so whenever we study any technology we must do as many projects as we can.

In my Fourth semester, there was a subject AWT(Advanced Web technology). I learnt Advanced JavaScript (the latest version of JavaScript), Frontend technology React and Angular, Backend technology NodeJs and its framework ExpressJs and Mongodb as a Database. After learning this I completed MERN Stack. Then again I started doing projects. Firstly I made only frontend projects and later on, I made full-stack projects.

I have also contributed to my college friends’ projects. For this, I learn about Git and Github. They have to contribute to my projects. So Git and Github provide multiple developer environments that every developer must learn. Then I started applying for an internship. Then I came to know my projects were not that much level that I could get an internship with a stipend. So I do only one internship without a stipend. In which I worked as a Frontend developer. In Web developer interviews they mostly ask about web development technology only but nowadays they are also asking about DSA. So It can be tough for us to do both DSA and development together. After completing the MERN stack I was focused on DSA. So now I also have a hand in DSA.

My dream job is to work at any of the FAANG companies for which I need a very strong resume. As I realised the level of the Project is also too important, I started doing the project currently because only learning is not important implementation is more important.

As per my journey, I want to give you some tips to be a good web developer.

Tip – 1:

Doesn’t matter if you want to be web a developer or not you must learn web development. It is one of the most important technologies to learn. By learning this you can make rejects which can be added to your resume.

Tip – 2 :

Start with basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap and do many simple projects that will boost your confidence.

Tip – 3:

Learn some front-end frameworks like React or Angular. And make a project on this technology.

(HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are fundamental technologies for web development and are essential for learning frontend frameworks like React and Angular.)

Tip – 4:

Learn backend technology like PHP or NodeJs and its framework ExpressJS. Which works as an intermediate to your web application and your database. Learn any one database like MoMongoDBMSYQL or Postgresql.

Tip – 5 :

Do as many projects as you can do. and finally apply for intern internship in web development.

Don’t forget practice makes a man perfect.
