MNNIT Allahabad Campus Experience

When it comes to placements, MNNIT stands out as a premier choice. With an impressive placement rate of 92-95%, our institution is among the top NITs for securing jobs. Many students also choose to pursue higher education, demonstrating the diverse career paths our graduates take. This year, the highest package offered reached an astonishing ₹1.35 crore for a Computer Science student, while the average package is a solid ₹20 lakh. For the Chemical Engineering branch, the highest package hit ₹52 lakh, with an average of ₹13.75 lakh. Esteemed companies like BPCL, Reliance, and top PSUs were part of our placement drive, reflecting the high regard these corporations have for our graduates.

Our central library is a hub of academic activity, complete with air conditioning and free high-speed Wi-Fi, creating a perfect environment for study and research. Students have access to a wide range of magazines, newspapers, and other reading materials. However, it’s worth noting that much of our infrastructure, including hostels, the library, and the mess, has seen over 50 years of use and needs renovation. Despite this, the Diamond Jubilee Girls’ Hostel offers modern amenities, and the newly constructed Mega Hostel is a testament to our commitment to improving student life.

Our faculty members are highly qualified, with most holding Ph.D. degrees from prestigious old IITs. They are true masters of their subjects. Students often find that while the faculty is exceptionally knowledgeable, they encourage a high degree of independence, pushing students to solve problems on their own. The course curriculum has recently been updated to align with the National Education Policy (NEP), bringing a fresh and modern approach to our academic structure. Exams, particularly the semester-end ones, are manageable if students maintain proper notes and begin their preparations at least two weeks in advance.

Campus life at MNNIT is vibrant and diverse, featuring various festivals and events. The cultural fest, CULRAV, and the technical fest, AVISHKAR, are annual highlights, offering students platforms to showcase their talents and skills. Recently, we introduced UDBHAV, a festival that blends entrepreneurship with cultural activities, adding a new dimension to student life. Additionally, the Renaissance event hosted by E-Cell MNNIT is another significant attraction, enhancing the overall campus experience.

I chose to pursue Chemical Engineering at MNNIT to explore opportunities in the energy sector and delve into the promising field of nanotechnology. This decision has opened up numerous avenues for personal and professional growth, reflecting the myriad opportunities MNNIT offers to its students.
