Macuqarie Group Interview Experience for Associate | Gurgaon (Off-Campus)

I got the opportunity to interview with Macquarie Group through LinkedIn. It was for a six-month internship. I applied for it in my 7th semester. A few weeks later I got a call from HR and my interview was scheduled online.

It went for 40 mins. The interviewer was very calm. The interview started with an introduction. for the first 5 minutes, I was given a brief background about the company and the interviewer also gave an intro. It was purely resume-based. Each and everything mentioned in my resume was asked. From projects to achievements to certifications. They dig up everything. We discussed my hobbies and the role. There were also some generic questions like Why do you want to join Macquarie?

A few weeks later I got an mail for the second round which is a Psychometric assessment. It consisted of quantitative and logical reasoning questions. there was a timer on each question making it a little difficult. There were two practice sessions given beforehand. You could give this assessment at any time according to your convenience. Within the next week, I had to give this assessment.

After almost a month I got another mail for an interview. This interview was with the Head of some department. The interview started with an introduction and went forward like a discussion. It revolved around my interests in sports and my previous internships. I heard more of what Macquarie aims for this role.

The next day I got an email confirming my selection for 6-month internship.

Tips:

1. Be very well aware of the words you put in your resume.

2. Be confident and show your learning attitude.

3. Read a little about any company before interview.
