What is Sphygmomanometer?
The sphygmomanometer is used to measure blood pressure. A sphygmomanometer is also called a BP machine, blood pressure monitor, or blood pressure cuff. The sphygmomanometer was invented by an Austrian physician, Samuel Karl Ritter Von Basch in 1881. It consisted of a mercury manometer attached to another infected cuff and a pressure bulb.
