What is Figures of Speech

A type of representation (such as metaphors or symbolism) used to convey a message or strengthen the effect, often by correlating or classifying one thing with some other that has a sense of implication recognizable to the listener or the reader. They are used to enhance the expression of ideas, evoke emotions, create vivid descriptions, and engage the audience.
