What is Current?
The current simply refers to the flow of some entity in a specific area. For instance, it can be argued that an air current is flowing if air is blowing in that location. The movement of electrons that represent electric charge, from one location to another is what generates electrical energy in the case of electricity. Electric current is a specific phenomenon. Current play a significant role in daily life. The SI unit of current is Ampere.
The term “current” refers to the movement of electrons. Direct Current (DC) and Alternating Current (AC) are the two major forms of current. While alternating current travels in two directions, direct current only flows in one. Alternating power is provided to our homes and the nearby utilities. Types of Current
The movement of charged particles within a conducting medium is generally referred to as current. The term “charged particles” in relation to electricity primarily refers to electrons. The conducting material’s atoms have free electrons that can travel from one atom to another. The electrons move in a random manner. Alternating and direct current are the two main forms of current.
In alternating current, the current’s direction is reversed, whereas in direct current, electrons flow in one direction. In batteries, you can find direct current. In a battery, the electron always moves from the negative side to the positive side. Alternating current, on the other hand, can be used in televisions, kitchen appliances, etc.
