The Significance of the Seven Rainbow Colors
Rainbows have a timeless attraction that draws us in from childhood to adulthood. Despite our awareness of their production and origin, it frequently prompts us to pursue the various colors of the spectrum and their conclusions. Aspects of rainbows continue to attract us, motivating research and testing as scientists attempt to advance beyond Newton’s discoveries in rainbow theory.
7 Colours of the Rainbow – VIBGYOR
7 Colors of the Rainbow: A rainbow is a multi-colored curve that emerges in the heavens following rainfall. It materializes due to the interaction of sunlight and water droplets, involving both reflection and refraction. When sunlight traverses through raindrops or water particles, the light undergoes refraction, and the droplets reflect it from their surfaces. Consequently, the light refracts at varying angles, leading to the manifestation of distinct colors. The different colors we perceive within a rainbow result from the differing wavelengths of light. As light undergoes refraction across multiple angles, these angles collectively give rise to different wavelengths, thereby producing an array of rainbow colors.
