The Reason Behind Partial Color Visibility
Because of the various angles from which we see the rainbow, it is not possible to see all seven rainbow colors at the same time. Colors viewed by humans differ depending on their viewing perspective due to the dependence of color reflection on wavelength and the connection of wavelength with angle.
7 Colours of the Rainbow – VIBGYOR
7 Colors of the Rainbow: A rainbow is a multi-colored curve that emerges in the heavens following rainfall. It materializes due to the interaction of sunlight and water droplets, involving both reflection and refraction. When sunlight traverses through raindrops or water particles, the light undergoes refraction, and the droplets reflect it from their surfaces. Consequently, the light refracts at varying angles, leading to the manifestation of distinct colors. The different colors we perceive within a rainbow result from the differing wavelengths of light. As light undergoes refraction across multiple angles, these angles collectively give rise to different wavelengths, thereby producing an array of rainbow colors.
