Prince Edward
Prince Edward, born on March 10, 1964, is the youngest child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. He left the Royal Marines to follow his own interests. Edward was once considered for a ceremonial role as monarch in Estonia but he turned it down. In 1999, he married Sophie Rhys-Jones, and they have two children together.
After his father passed away, Edward took over many of his father’s roles and was named Counsellor of State. In 2023, he was given the title of Duke of Edinburgh, his wife became the Duchess, and their son became the new Earl of Wessex.

Following her death, her eldest son, Charles, immediately became the monarch. King Charles expressed his deep sadness over his mother’s death through a statement, mentioning it as “a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family.” Nearly eight months later, King Charles was crowned at Westminster Abbey in a ceremony attended by his siblings — Anne, Andrew, and Edward — alongside his wife, Queen Camilla.
