NDA Perks and Allowances

NDA officers get various types of Allowances as per their posts and job difficulties, along with the NDA salary. The various types of Allowances are –

• DA (Dearness allowance) and TA (Transport allowance)
• Para allowance
• Kit maintenance
• Uniform allowance
• Special force
• Para jump Instructor
• Highly Active Field Area allowance
• Compensatory Modified Field Area allowance
• Para Reserve allowance
• Technical allowance (Tier – I)
• Technical allowance (Tier – II)

The amount and details of the allowances are given below :

Military Service Pay ( MSP)

Military Service Pay that is also known as MSP, is fixed amount for the NDA officers. The amount of MSP is allotted for NDA officers is Rs. 15,500 per month. Lieutenant to Brigadier ranks officers are benefitted by MSP.

Transport Allowance (TPTA)

Transport allowance is given below in the box along with level of pay.

NDA Field Area Allowance

Field Area allowance are given to the NDA officers as per their area of posting and rank. The details of NDA Field Area allowance are given below –

NDA High Altitude Allowance

NDA High Altitude Allowance are described below in the box.

The employees who are posted in Siachen, get the Siachen Allowance amounting to Rs.42,500.

Flying Allowances

Flying Allowances are given to the pilots and Army aviators. The amount of flying Allowances are given below in the box –

NDA Counter Insurgency Allowances

Retirement Benefits

Several benefits will be provided to the NDA officers after their retirement. The retirement Benefits are –

1. Pension
2. Gratuity
3. Casualty Pensionary Award.

NDA Other Allowance

NDA officers get the other few allowances along with the Allowances mentioned above. These other allowances are –

Ration :

Ration allowances are provided to the Field Area and Peace area’s defence officers every month.

Hostel Subsidy :

Hostel Subsidy is admissible from nursery to class 12th child of NDA officers. The amount of hostel Subsidy is Rs. 6750 per month per child for two eldest surviving only.

Children Education loan :

Children Education loan is admissible from nursery to class 12th children same as the hostel Subsidy. The amount is rs.2250 per month per child for two eldest surviving only.

Uniform allowance :

An amount of rs. 20,000 is paid for the uniform to the NDA officers.

NDA Monetary Support

The following monetary supports are given to the NDA officers in case of their death or disablement.

• Death : Rs. 15 lakh is paid to the Next of Kin (NoK) as Ex-gratia for the death of NDA officer.
• Disablement : Monetary Support is provided in accordance of the percentage disablement. If the disability is less than 20%, then there is no disablement award. If the disability is 100%, then they will get Rs. 16,200 per month as Ex-gratia.
