Amrit daily drives 21km.
He needs to run 84km.
So, No. of days he takes = ( 84 / 21 = 4 ).
4 days to cover 84km.
Example 3. Using the table of 21 simplify 2 times 21 plus 3 times 25.
Solution:
By studying the table of twenty-one we know that,
2 times 21 = 2 × 21 = 42
3 times 21 = 3 × 21 = 63
Now,
2 times 21 plus 3 times 21
= 2 × 21 + 3 × 21
= 42 + 63
= 105
Example 4. Using the table of 21 simplify 4 times 21 minus 2 times 21.
Solution:
By studying the table of two we know that,
4 times 21 = 4 × 21 = 84
2 times 21 = 2 × 21 = 42
Now,
4 times 21 minus 2 times 21
= 4 × 21 + 2 × 21
= 84 – 42
= 42.
