Solution:
Given,
Reciprocal of x is 8/12 i.e, x is 12/8. Now,
x + 6 = 8/12 + 6
⇒ 12/8 + 6/1
⇒ (12+48)/8
⇒ 60/8
As a result, x+6 has a value of 60/8.
Example 3: Determine reciprocal of (7/4)-2?
Solution:
= (7/4)-2
= (4/7)2
= (16/49)
Reciprocal of 16/49 is 49/16
