Devaluation of Housework
As compared to other types of labour, such as paid jobs or intellectual activities, housework is sometimes undervalued and perceived as being less significant. The people who conduct housekeeping, primarily women, may suffer as a result of this devaluing. It may cause them to feel unworthy of themselves and not be acknowledged for the household’s efforts. Due to the fact that women are often expected to handle the majority of household duties without getting paid or receiving recognition, this devaluation also contributes to gender inequality. Regardless of gender, it is critical to encourage fair home responsibility allocation and acknowledge the significance of housekeeping. All household members may experience higher happiness and well-being as a result of this.
