Current Chief Minister of Haryana
On May 5, 1954, Mr. Manohar Lal was born in the Rohtak district’s Nindana hamlet. Following his election in the 2014 Assembly elections in the Karnal Assembly constituency, he was the first member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to hold the position of Chief Minister in Haryana.
Prior to being admitted as a member of the BJP in 1994, he served the Rashtriya SwayamSevak Sangh (RSS) for 17 years actively and devotedly after becoming a permanent member of the group in 1977.
When Mr. Manohar Lal was named Chairman of the Haryana Election Campaign Committee for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the party not only had tremendous success but also had a significant impact on the nation’s history. He ran in the Karnal Assembly seat for the first time and won with 63,773 votes.
On October 21, 2014, he was overwhelmingly chosen as the BJP Legislature Party’s leader, and on October 26, 2014, he was sworn in as chief minister. In Haryana’s history, this is the first time an MLA who was elected as a freshman has been appointed Chief Minister. In addition to a better Haryana, he envisions a distinct state which excels in several areas and is well-known around the world.
