Strengthened Tree Economy: The Andolan will actively nurture and invigorate the tree-based economy, unlocking a multitude of economic opportunities for the residents of Assam.
Financial Incentives: Incentivizing participation, individuals planting seedlings and uploading geotagged photos via the dedicated portal/app will receive a financial grant of Rs. 100 from the State Government. Additionally, an extra Rs. 200 will be awarded by the government in the third year to bolster plant survival.
Community Involvement: The Amrit Brikshya Andolan will encompass a wide array of participants, including Self Help Groups, ASHA workers, educational institutions, and various community bodies, fostering extensive engagement and collaboration.

‘Amrit Brikshya Andolan’ is a farm movement started by the Assam government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Hemanta Biswa Sarma. This campaign is to increase, by planting one crore seedlings, the state environment thus enhancing towards sustainability. The spearheading event was inaugurated on June 8, 2023, and it is the axis around which the Assam’s growth of green cover goes and develops the new tree-based economy.
