K. Ramakrishnan College of Engineering Campus Experience

In Tamil Nadu, one of the best colleges in Trichy District is K. Ramakrishnan College of Engineering. It is one of the K. Ramakrishnan Group of Institutions. This College was started in the year 2008 and it is the best college for studying and Experience with Good Infrastructure. In My College the Principal name was Dr. Srinivasan and the Chairman’s name was Dr. K. Ramakrishnan. First of all, I didn’t know my college after completion of my school days they told me about this college on the Radio and I joined this college. I joined this college with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

In 1st year all departments are combined with different sections of class from A to H. At that time the Head of Department name was Bhakta Vatsalam S Sir was In charge of the Department of Science and Humanities. At that time they conducted the Bridge course which is for 1 month after that Regular Classes were started. In this college one disadvantage is They will keep night classes for Day Scholar Boy Students. In that first year, I liked Engineering Graphics and Python Programming Papers. Both the Papers are very interesting in 1st semester. After 1st semester they were divided into departments and Department HODs were in charge of that.

In My Department, the HOD was Dr. M . Maheshwari Mam. She was so impressive and an excellent guiding person for every student. In 2nd semester after March, there was a Lockdown due to the Spreading of Corona Virus but we could not understand the subjects during the Lockdown time till 5th semester. They conducted the class online but most of the students were not interested in online classes they did not know the value of Department Subjects and uses. After 5th semester the coronavirus cases were reduced and it was controlled at that time so the government decided to open schools and colleges. From the 6th semester to the 8th semester, there were offline classes at that time we had to listen to the classes and take notes at that time the Placement Journey started. In my college I Like is Industrial visit trip only.

There were 2 Industrial visits I made one was from College to Munnar and Kochi Another trip from College to Chikamangaluru, Bangalore and Wonderla and the Mysore Palace visit in My Final Year. In My Department, All staff members are very supportive of Learning as well as Placements. At Last, In My Final Year, I realized that I was going to complete soon my college campus journey.

The College Environment was good and the Infrastructure wise it is good. Because I am passionate about my College culture.Because there was a playground, Basketball and Volleyball. My college was excellent in Sports because They have got National Level Certificates etc. Then In My college, there was a proper library and it was so good to help the readers to learn more about the skills and in doing the projects.

In My College many College fests like Talentia, UTSAV, Hostel College Day and Farewell Day. I enjoyed only Farewell because All my friends and my staff met Last time at that event. In this, we have made a group dance, common lunch and cake celebration with that celebration college life has come to an end. Now I miss all my friends. The next thing is the Hackathon I have participated in many hackathons and I got the Winner and many more.

Coming to My Placement Journey It starts in the 6th semester and 8th semester many companies come to our college like TCS, CTS, Accenture, Virtusa, Musigma, Vaken, TCS Sundram Fasteners, Mindtree, Sopra Steria, SOTI, NCR Corporation etc. In most companies I have attended the assessment test Offline and Online but the thing I have finally been placed in only one company that is TVS Sundram Fasteners Due to a Health issue I did not Visit and have Not yet Joined in That company. The Placement Trainers from Six Phrase, Talentio, Terv and New Leaf Training Institute. All the Trainers are so good and friendly with us in giving the training and they have approach different types of training which include aptitude, coding, communication and Interview Preparation. In My college, They will keep separate Placement Training on Public Holidays and Sundays also. This is about my placement journey.
