Infosys Interview Experience for System Engineer
I recently applied for a System Engineer at Infosys through their career portal and was delighted to receive an email inviting me to the selection process. The process consisted of three rounds.
Round 1: Online Test
The first round was an online test that lasted for 100 minutes. It covered five sections:
- Mathematics Ability
- Logical Reasoning
- Verbal Ability
- Pseudocode
- Puzzles
To prepare for this round, I dedicated time to practice each section, focusing on enhancing my problem-solving and analytical skills. I also familiarized myself with mathematical concepts and logical reasoning patterns.
Round 2: Technical Interview
The second round was a technical interview that assessed my knowledge in areas mentioned in my resume. The topics covered included:
- Object-Oriented Programming Concepts (OOPS)
- Database Management Systems (DBMS)
- Software Development Life Cycle
- Header Files in C
- Operator Overloading and Function Overriding
- Friend Functions
- Basic SQL Commands
Round 3: HR Interview
The final round was the HR interview, where I had the opportunity to showcase my personal qualities and assess my fit within the organization. The interviewer asked me the following questions:
- Self-introduction
- Introduction Of project & internship [If any ]
- Willingness to work night shifts if necessary
- Why I wanted to join Infosys
To excel in this round, I effectively communicated my experiences, emphasizing my achievements, skills, and the value I could bring to Infosys also highlighted my genuine interest in joining Infosys, discussing the company’s positive reputation, work culture, and growth opportunities.
Tips :
To increase my chances of success throughout the selection process, I considered the following tips:
- Be prepared.
- Listen carefully.
- Minimize background noise.
- Dress formally.
- Be confident.
After one week of the HR round, I received an email congratulating me and providing details about the completion of the joining process.
