How to create a basic popup button using jQuery Mobile ?
jQuery Mobile is a web based technology used to make responsive content that can be accessed on all smartphones, tablets and desktops. In this article, we will be creating a basic popup button using jQuery Mobile.
Approach: Add jQuery Mobile scripts needed for your project.
<link rel=”stylesheet” href=”http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.4.5/jquery.mobile-1.4.5.min.css” />
<script src=”http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.1.min.js”></script>
<script src=”http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.4.5/jquery.mobile-1.4.5.min.js”></script>
We will be using different types of ui classes to make a simple popup button. To add popup, we will use data-role=”popup” attribute to the div element. The data-rel=”popup” attribute is used to tell the framework to open the popup when the link is tapped.
Example:
HTML
<!DOCTYPE html> < html > < head > < link rel = "stylesheet" href = "http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.4.5/jquery.mobile-1.4.5.min.css" /> < script src = "http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.1.min.js" > </ script > < script src = "http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.4.5/jquery.mobile-1.4.5.min.js" > </ script > </ head > < body > < center > < h1 >w3wiki</ h1 > < h4 > Basic popup button using jQuery Mobile </ h4 > < a href = "#basicPopup" data-rel = "popup" class="ui-btn ui-corner-all ui shadow ui-btn-inline" data-transition = "pop" >Basic Popup</ a > < div data-role = "popup" id = "basicPopup" > < p >It is a simple example of basic popup</ p > </ div > </ center > </ body > </ html > |
