How often is TOEFL offered?

The TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test) is offered frequently, with more than 50 test dates available each year at authorized test centers around the world. This extensive availability makes it convenient for test-takers to find a suitable date that fits their schedule. Test centers operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so availability can vary by location depending on demand and the number of test centers in the area.

To accommodate a wider range of test-takers, especially in regions with fewer test centers or higher demand, ETS also introduced the TOEFL iBT Home Edition, which can be taken online from home 24 hours a day, four days a week. This version of the test provides even greater flexibility and frequent testing opportunities, ensuring that candidates can take the test when and where it suits them best. Both versions maintain the same content, format, and on-screen experience.
