Galgotias Campus Experience

Currently, I am a 3rd-year b.tech student at Galgotia’s College of Engineering and Technology. I am pursuing my b.tech degree in the information technology branch. Overall, my college experience is good.

About the campus:

Galgotias College is located on a sprawling campus in Greater Noida, which is well-connected to the capital city of India, New Delhi. The campus is strategically positioned in the National Capital Region (NCR), providing students with easy access to various amenities and opportunities.

Infrastructure:

The college boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure designed to facilitate a conducive learning environment for students. The campus includes modern classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, libraries stocked with an extensive collection of books, and computer centers with high-speed internet connectivity.

First-year Experience:

my entire first year was offline. The college organizes an extensive orientation program at the beginning of each academic year. during the orientation program, we are introduced to faculty members, and senior students and they guided us through their experiences. The faculty members at galgotias college are very supportive. Although I am a IT background student but during my first year we studied subjects like physics, chemistry, engineering mathematics, fundamentals of mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, c programming. The labs were conducted regularly and the focus was maintained on practical knowledge apart from the theoretical classes.

Second-year experience

The second-year experience at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology builds upon the foundation laid in the first year, taking students on a deeper and more specialized journey in their chosen fields of study. as a student of the IT branch I was introduced to core IT subjects like data structure, web designing, operating systems. The college emphasizes the importance of practical learning and hands-on experience.

Cultural Event

The college hosts a range of cultural and social events throughout the academic year. Festivals, celebrations, and themed gatherings offer students opportunities to unwind, socialize, and celebrate the diversity of the college community.

Placement

Students get eligible for placement from the 7th semester. various companies like Tcs , Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Byju’s, Cvent, etc visit campus to hire students. More than 100+ companies visit on campus for placement. overall average package is around 5 lpa and for the cs/IT branch, you can expect between 6-6.5 lpa. college provides ample opportunities for placement
