Engineering Exam Experience

This is an article describing my personal experience of Preparing for exams like JEE Mains and Advanced. This is an experience that can be both challenging and rewarding. My journey begins with rigorous studying, often starting years before the exam date. We all immerse ourselves in a plethora of study materials, from textbooks to online resources, attending coaching classes, and solving countless practice papers.

The pressure is immense, as the competition is fierce, with lakhs of students studying for a limited number of seats less than 1% in prestigious engineering colleges like IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The syllabus is vast, covering physics, chemistry, and mathematics in depth, requiring a comprehensive understanding of concepts and regular practice with solving problems as they happen in day-to-day life.

As the exam date approaches, tension mounts and students often experience a mix of anxiety and determination. Sleepless nights and long study hours become the norm as they strive to perfect their knowledge and problem-solving skills by completing the backlogs. Every mock test becomes a battleground, reflecting strengths and weaknesses, and serving as a guide for further improvement.

On the day of the exam, emotions run high. Nerves are on edge while entering the examination hall, armed with pens, pencils, and admit cards. The atmosphere is charged with anticipation as they tackle the daunting question paper, hoping to recall everything they’ve learned under the pressure of time constraints.
