Comeforth Foundation NGO Work Experience As A Data Analyst Internship

I recently completed a rewarding internship as a Data Analyst Intern at Comeforth Foundation NGO. I wanted to share my experience with you all, hoping it might inspire those looking to contribute to meaningful causes while honing their data analysis skills.

During my internship at Comeforth Foundation NGO, I had the opportunity to delve deeply into the organization’s mission, goals, and the extensive range of programs and schemes they offer for community welfare. Understanding the foundation’s objectives was crucial as it laid the groundwork for the tasks I was assigned.

The Internship comprised of three main Tasks:

TASK 1:

One of the primary tasks involved identifying and connecting with local rural child care centres, known as Anganwadis, in our nearby areas. This required a comprehensive research effort to locate these centres using official government websites. Once identified, I coordinated with the heads of these Anganwadis to understand their specific needs and challenges.

TASK 2:

To effectively manage and present the collected data, I created a detailed dashboard. This dashboard included all the data from the local Anganwadis, highlighting their requirements and current status. The process involved data cleaning, organizing information systematically, and ensuring accuracy to aid in decision-making. My background in data analysis proved invaluable here, as I used various analytical tools to structure and visualize the data, making it easily accessible and understandable for the NGO’s team.

TASK 3:

The final dashboard was a crucial tool delivered to the Comeforth Foundation NGO, assisting them in their ongoing efforts to empower these Anganwadis. It provided a clear and actionable overview of the needs of these child care centres (Anganwadis), enabling the NGO foundation to tailor their support and resources effectively.

Through this internship, I not only enhanced my data analysis skills but also gained profound insights into the operational aspects of an NGO. I learned the importance of data-driven decision-making in social work and how systematic data collection and analysis can significantly impact community support initiatives.

My experience at the Comeforth Foundation was immensely fulfilling. It allowed me to contribute meaningfully to the community while growing professionally in the field of data analysis.
