Charotar University of Science and Technology Campus Experience

To begin with, CHARUSAT University is located in Changa – Anand region in Gujarat. I completed my B. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from CHARUSAT in 2022. CHARUSAT offers a large green campus where one can have good times during their studies.

My first year began in 2018 when I got admitted to CHARUSAT University. The program commenced in July 2018 and through the first week, we were given an orientation of the campus and various buildings in the campus. We were introduced to some of our faculty as well. In the following week, academics started with lectures and laboratory sessions. The professors were knowledgeable and helpful. The computer labs were equipped with new computers and had a really good processing power.

The campus has a large ground where one can play basketball, cricket, football, and volleyball and also has an indoor court where multiple other games are available. Throughout the year, myriad technical and non-technical fests used to take place including hackathons, workshops, seminars, cultural programs, sports day, etc. There are multiple canteens at the campus and the food is also good and pocket-friendly.

The placement cell is also very helpful to the students and the companies visiting campus offered handsome paying packages. Despite the pandemic hitting our placement time, our batch had a good placement record just because of the guidance from the placement cell. The professors also helped to issue the Letter of Recommendation to students seeking further studies.

My takeaways from the journey are: always actively participate in every fest, concert and sport you can maintain good rapport with professors even after the semester ends – this helps in the long run, reach out to faculty for any doubts, help throughout your college, make as many as friends you can – you can count on them during tough times and most important tip for CS students is to start coding on platforms like CodeChef, Leetcode, HackerRank, GFG as early as you can.
