the Eligibility Criteria:
- Only the wards of serving/retired army personnel are eligible to take admitted to AIT
- The parent must have served for a minimum of 10 years in the Indian Army.
- Admission is based on JEE percentile only
- Must have passed Class XII or equivalent with compulsory subjects as Physics and Mathematics along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology. Candidate should obtain at least 45% in the above combination subjects.

- Computer Engineering – 120 Seats
- Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering – 120 Seats
- Mechanical Engineering – 60 Seats
- Information Technology – 60 Seats
- Total – 420 Seats
Admission process
- AIT Merit List will be displayed one week after the JEE Main 2023 Final Rank List.
- Merit List will be prepared based on JEE Main Rank.
- Weightage for gallantry awards (as per Para 16) may be applicable.
- AIT Management’s decision on the merit list preparation will be final.
- The admission schedule and Joining Instructions will be available on the AIT website.
- Inclusion in the AIT Merit List doesn’t guarantee admission.
- Candidates up to rank 1000 can fill their branch preferences by paying a reservation fee of Rs 10,000 through the website.
- Branch allotment will depend on merit and the candidate’s choice of branch.
- Physical admission at AIT requires candidates to be present. Re-allotment of the branch and verification of documents will be carried out.
- Failure to appear on the specified date and time will result in admission cancellation.
- Provisional admission requires candidates to submit all required documents.
- All admissions made by AIT are provisional.
- AIT will physically verify original certificates and testimonials on the day of admission.
Documents
- If called for admission, they must submit the mark sheet as proof of passing the exam.
- Those who have already passed the qualifying exam should include an attested copy of their mark sheets with their application.
- If there is a gap of one or more academic years before joining AIT, applicants must submit an affidavit
- If they did join a college or university during the gap period, they should also provide a migration certificate.
- The gap affidavit format is available on the AIT website and can be submitted during the admission process.
