Aakash Coaching Institute Coaching Experience For JEE Mains and JEE-Advanced Preparation

Once you enter class 11, you will be surrounded by people asking you what you have decided for the future. That was when I was introduced to competitive exams like NEET and JEE. I prepared for Jee. I would like to share my personal experience based on JEE in this article.

About JEE

Since I joined the non-medical stream, I learned about the exam JEE that was used for getting admission into top colleges like NITs, IITs, and some of the IIITs. To prepare for JEE, I joined Aakash Coaching Institute which had well-educated teachers. I began my reset on the format of the exam, the kind of questions asked, and the marking scheme. The exam was divided into two parts the first is JEE-Mains which is followed by JEE Advanced. During my preparation, there were 4 attempts for Jee mains and you needed to clear the cut-off for qualifying for Jee advanced.

My preparation

I prepared for Jee mains and advanced in the Aakash institution for two years. Right from the 11th, we spent 4 hours in coaching trying to cover the syllabus. There was enormous pressure but we got used to the class schedule with time. After 2 3 months, the instructions started its tests like fortnightly tests, term tests, and all India test series. I prepared very hard for the tests and was selected in the top batch for class 12th. A similar procedure was followed in grade 12th and the syllabus was finished in October. After that, there were rigorous tests. I solved many books and cleared my concepts through notes. I referred to HC Verma in physics and, Balaji publications in maths. For chemistry, I referred to Ncert for inorganic and organic and N. awasthi for physical. In addition to this, I completed all my modules thrice.

Exam Day

Finally, we registered for jee and I had an exam in the nearest centre in the morning shift. When I reached the centre, I felt overwhelmed looking at the number of candidates but I maintained my calm and prayed to god. My parents wished me all the best and I proceeded to go to my seat. As soon as the test began, I focused on it. I began with physics and found all the questions easy. I proceeded with chemistry since it would need the least time. I was not well prepared with inorganic so I lost many marks in that section. Then I proceeded to maths which was medium so I carefully selected the questions I would solve. I believe that I could solve maths only because I maintained my temperament and left the lengthy questions. Overall, I was satisfied with my performance but wished that I had studied inorganic.

Result

The result of JEE Mains came in the evening and only 1.5 lakh students qualified for jee advanced and I was one of them. I was happy since I scored 98.9 percentile and my parents were happy with it. Then I began preparing for JEE advanced which will be discussed in another article.

I successfully qualified for the exam and it was a fruitful journey.
